HOULTON – Freida J. Bither, 61, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 26, 2013, with her family by her side, at Houlton Regional Hospital. She was born Dec. 3, 1951, in Houlton, the daughter of Herbert and Dorothy (Malone) Bither.
She was employed for 33 years at Community Living Association. Freida enjoyed four wheeling, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Jeremy, whether at camp, home or hockey games.
Freida is survived by her daughter, Heidi and her husband, David Fitzpatrick, of Houlton; grandson, Jeremy Fitzpatrick; four sisters, Bonnie Brewer of Arizona, Deanna Estabrook and her husband, Steve, of Houlton, Amy Tingley and her husband, Maynard, of Littleton, and Joy Ivey and her husband, Mike, of Hodgdon; along with several nieces, nephews, two aunts, several uncles, and very special friends, Ned Russell of Linneus, Nancy and Roger Lavoie of Standish, and Terry and Diane Tingley of Saco. Freida will be very missed by her family, friends and her co-workers at Harmony. She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Peggy Stewart; a brother, Herbie Jr.; and fiancé, Ron Worthley.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at Dunn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at St. Mary of the Visitation Church, with Father David Raymond celebrant. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
