CORINNA – Robert J. Gould Jr., 51, went home to be with the Lord Sept. 27, 2013, after a long battle with his health. He was born June 5, 1962, in Dexter, a son of Robert and Juanita (Metivier) Gould Sr. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 12 years.
Bobby was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was the greatest fan of the Minnesota Vikings. He really enjoyed playing darts, horseshoes, and poker with his buddies. Anyone that knew him will say that although his heart was physically weak, his heart was the biggest. Bobby was very loving, caring, understanding, and the most generous of men.
He is survived by his mother, Juanita Graves of St. Albans; his father, Robert Gould Sr. of Newport; beloved stepdad, Berk Graves of Etna; two sons, Robbie Gould of Corinna, and Bruce Gould of Pennsylvania; a daughter, Tasha and husband, Travis Bradbury, of Pittsfield; three very special granddaughters, Jewel, Violet, and Azzy; two sisters, Tammy Goulette and partner, Harold Baird, of Hartland and Ellimay and husband, Richard Ham, of St. Albans; a brother, Robert “Oof” Rideout of New York; two foster daughters, Kristen and Harley Davis; several nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many life long friends. He was predeceased by two stepdads, Leslie Rideout, and David Hatch; and his beloved pet, Jerry Berry.
A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Pleasant Street Christian Church, 29 St. Albans Road, Corinna, with Pastor David Chenoweth officiating.
