FRENCHVILLE – Rita Boucher, 86, died peacefully Sept. 30, 2013, at her residence in Frenchville. She was born Feb. 5, 1927, in Frenchville, the daughter of Raymond and Leona (Marquis) Martin.
She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne at St. Luce Parish. She was exceptionally devoted to her catholic faith and Catholic charity’s.
She is survived by one son, Allen and his wife, Brenda, of Frenchville; five daughters and their husbands, Elaine and Mike Cassidy of Edmundston, N.B., Linda Morin of Madawaska, Evelyn and Paul Leazot of Dunbarton, N.H., Rina and Bert Cyr of Madawaska, and Monica and Mike Desjardins of Derry, N.H.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Alphe Boucher; and one granddaughter, Alyssa Cyr.
Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, and 9 a.m. until the time of service Thursday, at Michaud Funeral Home, Frenchville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. at St. Luce Catholic Church, with the Rev. Richard Ouellette officiating. Burial will be at St. Luce Cemetery.
