EAST MACHIAS – Robert W. Wright, 86, passed away on Sept. 28, 2013, at a Bangor hospital, with his family at his bedside. He was born on Oct. 22, 1926, in Vanceboro, son of William and Lydia (Pine) Wright.
Robert was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Roberts) Wright; his daughter, Donna Wright; seven brothers; and three sisters. He is survived by his children, Dana Wright and Donna Wright (daughter-in-law) of Ellsworth, David Wright of Bucksport, Virginia (Brown) Wright (daughter-in-law) of Belfast, and Douglas Wright of Machias; his grandsons, Dale Wright of Ellsworth, Shane Wright of Bucksport, and Robert F. Wright of South Carolina; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.
Wright, an Army veteran, served in World War II as an MP in Munich, Germany. He was a graduate of the University of Maine with a B.S. Degree in Forestry, a Real Estate Broker since 1972, and Master River Driver.
A private memorial service will be held with family at a later date in Machias.
