BANGOR – Linda H. Sargent, 65, wife of Charles A. Sargent, died unexpectedly, Oct. 3, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1947, in Bangor, the daughter of George A. and Leatrice H. (Daggett) Higgins.
Linda was a 1966 graduate of Bangor High School and attended nurses training through Eastern Maine Medical Center. She worked as a certified nurse’s aide for many years in area nursing homes and enjoyed her work with patient care. Linda was also a 45 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 12, Bangor.
Linda is survived by her husband, Charles A. Sargent of Bangor; one cousin, Danny Emerson of South Berwick; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and by a sister, Roberta Ann.
A service honoring Linda’s life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where family and friends may visit from 10 a.m. Monday until the service begins.
