MARS HILL – J. Patricia (Sargent) Finemore passed away Oct. 4, 2013, peacefully with her daughter and granddaughter by her side. Pat was born Sept. 23, 1941, in Mars Hill, daughter of late Percy and Gertrude (Gilmore) Sargent.
Pat was a very loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife. Pat was very active in the Bridgewater Historical Society and loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow.
Pat is survived by her two children, Helena Antworth and fiancé, Dusty Case, and H.M Cates Finemore II “Bim” and Christine Finemore all of Bridgewater; one sister and brother-in-law, Jane Ann and Maynard McEwen; one brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Janice Sargent all of Presque Isle; and four grandchildren, Louis Finemore, Katie and Adam Nichols, Rickey Antworth and significant other, Brooke Lavway, and Lauren Antworth all of Bridgewater. Pat also leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Brystal Antworth, and Lila and Otto Nichols; and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Pat was predeceased by her husband, H.M Finemore.
Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, at Duncan Funeral Home, Mars Hill, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Smith Cemetery, and a reception will follow at the Mars Hill funeral home.
