MACHIASPORT – Eugene V. Wood, 54, of Machiasport, died unexpectedly on Oct. 9, 2013. He was born Sept. 13, 1959, in Lubec to Arthur Wood Jr. and Norma Ramsdell of East Machias.
Eugene had a heart of gold. He enjoyed everything from fishing, canoeing, helping others, listening to music, long and aimless drives in his truck, and much more.
Eugene is survived by his mother, Norma Ramsdell of East Machias; two daughters, Jessica Moore of Marshfield, and Miranda Heilman of Wiscasset; a son, Daniel Wood of East Machias; four siblings; brother, Owen Wood and his wife, Jane; brother, Kevin Wood and his wife, Millie, all of Machiasport; Karla Davis and her husband, Kenneth “Bucket” Davis; and Randy Wood and his wife, Sharon; all of East Machias. Eugene is also survived by four special grandchildren, Christopher, Danny Lee, Tristan, and Jacob. He is survived by many nieces and nephews whom loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered by his friends and family; today, tomorrow, always and forever.
