HODGDON – Leon A. Hutchinson, 76, died Oct. 9, 2013, at his daughter’s residence. He was born May 20, 1937, in Hodgdon, the son of Asbra R. and Goldie (McGuire) Hutchinson.
Leon was a proud member of the Monument Lodge of Masons 96 AF & AM. He was known as a Jack-Of-Trades working in many fields the last one being owner and operator of Houlton Septic Service. He had a special love of the outdoors and did woodworking and carvings for friends and family. His greatest love was family and family gatherings where he always made a point to say, “the more the merrier.”
Leon is survived by his son, Alex Hutchinson and his wife, Lisa, of Hodgdon; two daughters, Christy Hutchinson of Houlton, and Helen Folsom and her husband, Bruce, of Hodgdon; three grandchildren, Alex, Lindy, and Morgan; two brothers, his twin, Leigh Hutchinson and his wife, Myrna, of Houlton, and Philip Hutchinson of Ludlow; sister-in-law, Edna Johnson of Hodgdon; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Laura M. Hutchinson.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Hodgdon Cemetery, with Deacon Al Burleigh officiating.
