LINCOLN – Bina E. (Crocker) Burleigh Hale, 74, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Penobscot Valley Hospital, after a short battle with cancer. Bina was born Feb. 9, 1939, the daughter of Hiram and Edith Crocker.
Bina was a caring and loving mother and grandmother. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
Bina is survived by three sons, Richard “Dick” Burleigh and wife, Julie, of Chester, Brent Burleigh and wife, Kim, of Macwahoc, and Ryan Hale of Lincoln; grandchildren, Heather Severance and Linwood “Bub” of Lincoln, Kimberly-Jo Burleigh of Chester, Ricky Burleigh of Chester, Kristy Nevells and Nathan of Eliot, Breanna and Britney Burleigh of Macwahoc; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Jordan; mother-in-law, Annie Seavey “Ma”; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She loved her family deeply and they will cherish the special memories. In addition to her beloved husbands, Frederick Hale and Richard Burleigh Sr., she was predeceased by a special granddaughter, Jesi-Rai Burleigh.
Graveside services will be held 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at Grindstone Road Cemetery, Medway, with the Rev. Ralph Jacobs officiating. All are welcome to celebrate the life of Bina at the home of Dick and Julie Burleigh in Chester, following the service. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
