SWANS ISLAND – Anthony “Tony” Smith, 64, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2013, in Owego, N.Y.
Mr. Smith was predeceased by his father, Wendell Smith. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Paula Smith; mother, Freida Smith; stepson, William Pinkham and his partner, Elica; stepdaughter, Emmy and her husband, Shane Jones; grandchildren, Nadia, George, Dominick, Austin, and Dakota; three brothers and sister-in-law, Kevin and Ann Smith, Kendall Smith, and Lydon Smith; several nieces, nephews and cousins; father-in-law (dear friend) and mother-in-law, William and Muriel Juska; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William and Maryann Juska, Phillip Juska, and Paul and Leigh Juska.
Tony loved his life on Swans Island and his career as a Maine Fisherman and Lobsterman.
Funeral services will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, N.Y., with the Rev. William Moorby, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4-5 p.m. Tuesday evening, prior to the services at the funeral home.
