NEW VIRGINIA, IOWA – Jean Meinders passed away in the company of her family Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at the age of 62.
Jean dedicated her life to service as a mother, Army Reservist, and a Registered Nurse. She was constantly caring for other people and bettering herself. She was the Manager at Unity Point Eye Laser Surgery Center.
Jean is survived by her husband, Rob; sons, Jason and Erin; Erin’s wife, Samantha Meinders; grandchildren, Dylan and Noah Meinders; and sisters, Rose Rush, Celeste Pare, and Beth Young. She was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Veronica Qualey; and brother, Charles Qualey.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Benedicta, with Father Joel Cyr celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Benedict’s Cemetery. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.
