LINCOLN – Emily K. Smith, 90, wife of the late Ellsworth Smith, died Nov. 5, 2013, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born Aug. 31, 1923, in Lincoln, the daughter of Ardie and Eliza (Hanscom) Kneeland.
Emily was a seamtress and loved to cook. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Royce Smith and Cindy of Lincoln, and Rene Smith and Diane Wing of South China; a sister, Earlene Lemke, of Lisbon Falls; four grandchildren, Michelle and Michael Smith and Matthew and Eliza Smith; three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Landon and Aubrey Smith; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two siblings, Mina Robinson and Clayton Kneeland.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Lincoln Cemetery, with the Rev. Roy Richardson officiating.
