MILLINOCKET – Donald F. Inman Sr., 86, passed away peacefully Nov. 6, 2013, at an Orono healthcare facility after a brief illness. Donald was born June 21, 1927 in Bangor. He was predeceased by his mother, Doris E. Lainsbury Inman and a brother, Ivy Lainsbury of Brewer.
He was predeceased by, the love of his life and wife of 54 years, Gloria Russell Inman.
Donald worked at Great Northern Paper Co in the finishing room for 39 years until he retired. He was an active member of the Millinocket Baptist Church serving as a deacon and singing in the choir. He was a Boy Scout Cub Master for many years. He enjoyed fly fishing and gardening. Don was an avid sports fan of the Stearns teams and enjoyed attending games. He was known for his Patriotism. He was a huge Red Sox and Patriots fan.
He is survived by his five children: Sally Vincent and husband, Paul, Donald Inman Jr., Tanya Messier and husband, Alan, Kim Wilkins and husband, Tom, Tim Inman and partner, Murray Clift. His 11 grandchildren: Laurie Silva, Lisa Vincent, Jason Inman, Jennifer Towle, Kristen Inman, Holly Martineau, Eric Messier, Monica Nadeau, Bradly Wilkins, Hailey Wilkins and Nigel Inman. His five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family graveside service at the Millinocket Cemetery.
