BANGOR – H. Louise Cahill, 103, died Nov. 8, 2013, in Bangor. She was born Jan. 26, 1910, the daughter of John H. and Ellen (Griffin) Cahill.
Louise was a devout Catholic, was a member and volunteer at St. Mary’s Parish and was a member of St. Mary’s Sodality Council and the Ave Maria Circle, Daughters of Isabella. For many years, Louise worked as office manager of FW Woolworth, Bangor.
She is survived by cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Eric and Elaine Butler of Massachusetts, and Mr. and Mrs. William and Jacqueline McGrath of Rhode Island. She is also survived by Margaret M. Samways of Bangor; John and Kathleen Samways of Massachusetts and their daughter, Margaret Leigh Samways and her husband, Jason Page, of London; and a dear friend, the Rev. Donald W. Jacques of Milford, N.H. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, E. Frances and Carl Baumann, and Mr. and Mrs. John and Helen Samways.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ohio St., Bangor. Family and friends may visit 9:30 a.m. until the beginning of Mass Wednesday, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A time of fellowship will be immediately afterward at the parish center and burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
