VAN BUREN – Murielle A. Lizotte, 65, died peacefully Friday morning, Nov. 8, 2013, at a Van Buren healthcare facility. She was born Dec. 19, 1947 in St. Andre, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Frank and Eva (Castonguay) St. Amand.
She worked as a nurse’s aide for many years with Borderview Nursing Home.
Murielle is survived by: three children, Linda Levesque and her husband, Ralph, Joseph Edmund Lizotte, Jr. and his wife, Lorraine, and Nick Lizotte and his wife, Tracy, all of Van Buren; two brothers, Cyril and Felix St. Amand, both of St. Andre, Canada; three sisters, Jeannine Savoie of Kedgewick, Canada, Angelina Rioux of Drummond, Canada, and Jacqueline Rioux of St. Andre, Canada; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Edmond Lizotte, in 1996, two brothers, Clairmont and Aurele St. Amand, and a sister, Philomene Rossignol.
At Murielle’s request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren.
