CORINTH – Arthur Edwin Holt, 98, husband of the late Maxine (Farnham) Holt, went to be with the Lord peacefully Nov. 19, 2013, at Brewer Rehab. He was born Christmas Day in 1914 in Plainfield, Vt., the son of George W. and Ida M. (Martin) Holt.
Arthur worked for many years as a Loom Fixer at Guilford Industries Woolen Mill. Together with his wife, Arthur helped pioneer the Brooks Pentecostal Church in Brooks. He loved to play the guitar and ran a nursing home ministry at Stillwater Health Care in Bangor for 12 years.
Arthur is survived by his daughter, Sonya Dunfee and her husband, Malcolm, of Corinth; four grandchildren, Tammy Shaw and her husband, Paul, of Corinth, the Rev. Loren Dunfee and his wife, Robin, of Lakeland, Fla., Valerie Kelley and husband, Daniel, of Bucksport, and Darcy Ward and her husband, the Rev. Matthew Ward, of Corinth; as well as 11 great-grandchildren who were very special to him. He was predeceased by his eight siblings, Norman, Ralph, Wallace, Warren, Clyde, Carrie, Nathalie, and Gladys.
Friends and family are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Friday, at Charleston Pentecostal Church, Main Road, Charleston, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev.
