LUBEC – Christine Martha (Lincoln) Ramsdell, 93, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013. Christine was born May 19, 1920, in Calais, daughter of the late Gorham and Mable (Sawyer) Lincoln.
After graduating from Calais Academy, class of 1938, she worked as a secretary/accountant for Wallace Industries in Cutler until beginning her career with Booth Fisheries in Lubec, where she worked for over 30 years.
In addition to her parents, Christine was predeceased by her husband, Jasper Ramsdell; a sister, Ethel Lincoln; brothers, Howard, Kenneth, Austin, and Foster Lincoln; and a nephew, Seth Johnson. Surviving are three nieces, Audrey Sears and husband, Larry, of Perry, Dorothy Poole and husband, Bob, of Perry, and Patricia Young and husband, Hank, of Eastport; two great-nieces, Shirley Hill and husband, Ron, and Jennifer Young; neighbors and dear friends, Reggie and Harry Munson of Lubec; and many dear friends.
A celebration of Christine’s life will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. Burial will follow at Red Beach Cemetery, Calais. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.maysfuneralhome.com.
