BUCKSPORT and BANGOR – Loranda “Laurie” Elizabeth Beaulieu, 95, died on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at a Bangor health care facility, following a brief illness.
Loranda Cyr was born Aug. 25, 1918, in Madison, to Emile and Marie (Sirois) Cyr. She graduated from Bucksport High School. For many years she worked as a caregiver. Her enjoyment in life was music and ballroom dancing.
Loranda is survived by her sons, Gary Sr. Beaulieu and wife, Marilyn, of Sioux Falls, S.D., Leon Beaulieu of Gray and Lois Weber of Gray; grandchildren, Gary Jr., and Jason of Indianapolis, and Lori Thompson and husband, Rob, of Terre Haute, Ind.; great-grandchildren, Emily Beaulieu of Amherst, Mass., and Maddie Thompson of Terre Haute, Ind.; three sisters, Alma Bradley, Deanne Sheehan and husband, Charles, and Kathryn Sherman; one brother, Paul Cyr and wife, Lois; and one brother-in-law, Paul McCann; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
Family and friends will gather for visitation noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A graveside service will be held in the spring. www.mitchelltweedie-young.com.
