HOULTON – Winona Louisa Schools, 74, died Dec. 3, 2013, at her home, with her family by her side. She was born March 28, 1939, in Houlton, the daughter of James and Roxie (Sewall) McAfee.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth Schools of Houlton; her six children, Lori Nichols and her husband, John, of Houlton, Kenneth Schools and his wife, Cindy, of Littleton, Diane Briggs and her husband, Robert, of Linneus, Ronald Schools and his wife, Patti, of Cary, Philip Schools of Houlton, and Randolph Schools and his wife, Lorie, of Littleton; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Dana and Betty McAfee of Littleton, Judy and David McAfee of Augusta, Kenneth McAfee and Darlene Qualey of Littleton, Judy and Harold Fitzpatrick of Littleton and Laura Snell of Houlton. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Clarence, Phillip, Orin, John, Albert, and Donald; and a sister, Phyllis.
Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Military Street Baptist Church, Houlton, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. with the Rev. Randall Burns, the Rev.
