BUCKSPORT – Mary Louise Lancaster, 94, went to be with her savior on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013.
Daughter of Arden and Elizabeth Hale, born Feb. 3, 1919, in Caribou, she graduated from Caribou High School and Presque Isle Normal School. She taught second and third grades in Caribou and Dixfield, Penobscot and Orland for 30 years.
She married Bryant Lancaster, April 1, 1944, and was predeceased by Bryant in 1998. She is survived by two sons, Ronald and wife, Elizabeth, of Brooksville, and Arden and wife, Linda, of Bucksport; stepgrandchildren, Missie, Russel, and Victor; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Oak Grove Cemetery, Orland. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Bucksport. www.mitchelltweedie-young.com.
