OLD TOWN – Carol Ann St. Peter, 75, died Dec. 11, 2013, at a Bangor hospital with her family by her side. She was born Sept. 6, 1938, in Howland a daughter of Frank J. and Ellen (Blanchard) Blake.
Carol was a hard working single mother working in the local shoe shop raising five children. Carol loved to oil paint wildlife scenes on canvas and was also an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed making Christmas wreaths every year with Francine and Bill Mackowski. She lived in the DelRay Beach, Fla., area for seven years where she loved to pick up shells on the beach. She also worked at Cosco’s in Florida.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, George St. Peter of Old Town; five children, Beverly Pawlendzio and husband, Frank, of Eddington, Edward King Jr. of Atlanta, Mark King and wife, Sharon, of Florida, George King of Nashua, N.H., and Heather Jo Melanson of Bangor; stepchildren, Paul St. Peter of Miami, Monica Pollard and husband, Morris, of Pittsfield, Matthew St. Peter and wife, Martha, of Goofstown, N.H., and Maria Sappier and husband, James, of Weir, N.H.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia King and her husband, James, of Alton and Francine Mackowski and her husband, Bill, of Milford; brother, Frank Blake and his wife, Susan, of Beech Hill Pond; and a dear friend, Mildred Smith of Bradley.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town. Immediately following the service, all are invited to the Parish Hall for a light luncheon and continued fellowship.
