BELFAST, Maine — Police issued two citations recently for a local woman who allegedly tattooed the words “Harley-Davidson” on the arm of a 15-year-old boy.
The boy’s parents noticed their son’s new ink — then called the police, Chief Mike McFadden of the Belfast Police Department said Monday.
Investigating officers found that amateur tattoo artist Emmy Jo Paquette, 30, does not have a license to wield her tools. They issued her two summonses — one for placing a tattoo on a person under 18 years without parental consent, and the other for placing a tattoo on a person without a license.
Paquette is scheduled to appear in Belfast District Court on the charges on Jan. 21.
