FORT KENT and CARIBOU – Madeleine (Cyr) Lambert, 90, passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013. She was born Jan. 16, 1923, in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Denis and Anais (Levesque) Cyr.
Madeleine was married to Keith Lambert, who predeceased her in September 2009 following 67 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by a son, Thomas in May 1999. Madeleine is survived by her daughter, Gayle (Lambert) and her husband, John Labrie, of Fort Kent; son, Deane and his wife, Jacqueline, of Caribou; son, Gary Lambert of Fort Kent; four grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Brian Lambert and wife, Kim, of Sydney, Lisa Lambert O’Connor of Lincoln, Greg Lambert and his wife, Beth, of Fairfield, and Kristyn Labrie Waterman and her husband, Ryan Waterman, of Southbridge, Mass.; and six great-grandchildren, Meagan, Garrett, Carter, Jordan, Dante, and Paige. Madeleine is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Caribou, with the Rev. Jean Paul Labrie officiating. Committal services will follow at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou. Those who wish to donate in Madeleine’s memory may do so to the Edgar J.
