ELLSWORTH – Paul D. Ryan Sr., 71, passed away at an Ellsworth hospital, Dec. 12, 2013. Paul was born Oct. 21, 1943, in Bangor. He was the son of Thomas F. Ryan and Bertha Springer Ryan.
Paul had a great love of the outdoors and spent many years in the logging industry before becoming a truck driver. Paul enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
Surviving family include one brother, Bruce Ryan and his wife, Diane; two sons, P. Daniel Ryan Jr. and his wife, Rebekah, and Brady J. Ryan and his wife, Bonnie; five grandchildren, Leah, Joel, Cody, Thomas, and Katrina; as well as nephews and nieces. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Bertha Ryan.
A memorial service for Paul will be held 3 p.m. Dec. 22, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, River Road, Bucksport.
