BANGOR – William K. Drouin, 84, died Dec. 17, 2013, at his home in Bangor, with his family at his side. He was born July 20, 1929, in Bangor, the son of Joseph A. Drouin Sr. and Georgie A. (Pelkey) Drouin.
William was a 1948 graduate of Bangor High School and was a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran who served with the 101st Fighter Squadron. He worked for New England Telephone for many years before retiring.
Surviving are one son, John Drouin and his wife, Kate; four grandchildren, Derek Drouin, Elizabeth Sturrock and her husband, Alec, Erin Mecham and her husband, Justin, and Benjamin Barrett; great-granddaughter, Laney Sturrock; his very special sweetie, Joy; and one brother, Joseph A. Drouin Jr. of Florida. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Jean; and by a daughter, Marilyn Barrett.
His family would like to extend thanks to St. Joseph’s Hospice and Dr. Nadeau.
Services will be held at a later date and burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor.
