OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. – Christine M. Moody, 84, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at the Apple Rehabilitation Center following a long illness. She was born Jan. 27, 1930, in Danforth, a daughter of the late Albert H. and Ruth C. (Cropley) Young.
Mrs. Moody was a graduate of Danforth High School and had worked as a Data Technician for the US Postal Service for 25 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold D. Moody Sr.; her son, Arnold D. Moody Jr.; and a brother, Brian Young. Mrs. Moody is survived by a brother, Laurel Young and his wife, Margaret, of Killingworth, Conn.; three sisters, Irene Malone and her husband, Larry, of Bangor, Althea Rouse and her husband, Tommy, of Haynesville, and Patricia Frye and her husband, Doug, of Danforth; a grandson, Stephen Moody; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At her request, there will be no public visiting hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the old Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta.
