NEW SHARON, Maine — A local man is facing multiple drug charges after police learned he had been furnishing marijuana to minors, authorities said.
Charles Ross, 34, was taken into custody on a warrant issued by Franklin County sheriff’s deputies on Wednesday, according to Sheriff Scott Nichols.
Deputy Nick Zecher had received a complaint that Ross had been furnishing drugs to a girl, and as the investigation ensued, three other juveniles reportedly admitted they received marijuana from Ross.
As a result, Ross is facing two Class C felony charges of aggravated trafficking in schedule Z drugs, aggravated furnishing of schedule Z drugs and aggravated furnishing of schedule X drugs, Nichols said.
Ross faces up to five years in prison on each charge if conviction. He has a court date scheduled for March 12.
