CORINTH – June O’Roak, 93, passed away peacefully, with her son by her side, March 25, 2014, in Bangor, after a lengthy illness. She was born Oct. 14, 1920, in East Corinth, the daughter of John Henry and Ida Angelia (Randall) McGraw.
June attended Beans Mills Grade School and graduated from East Corinth Academy, class of 1939. She pursued various jobs throughout her life, taking her through Maine, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and Florida, before bringing her back to her home state. In 1945, she married Charles Marshall O’Roak, who passed away in 1952. Since 1940, June was a member of many Seventh Day Adventist churches, where she helped in any capacity she could. Most recently, she was a member of the Dexter Seventh Day Adventist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, June was predeceased by a son, Larry. She is survived by one son, James O’Roak of Bangor; a sister, Jean; and a brother, John.
