CORINNA AND CORINTH – Althea Louise Finnemore, 77, died April 1, 2014 at a Brewer nursing home surrounded by her family. She was born April 6, 1936, in Houlton, a daughter of Coburn and Dorothy (McKinney) Finnemore, Sr.
She graduated from Newport High School and the University of Maine at Farmington. Dottie taught school in Maryland for a time before moving back to Maine. She later co-owned Berg’s Store in Brownville Junction and Berg Enterprises in Corinna. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother.
Dottie is survived by two sons, Scott E. Trask of Corinth, and Rick and wife, Hyein Berg of Vassalboro; a daughter, Vicki J. Trask of Newport; a brother, Victor and wife, Debbie Finnemore, and a sister, Jeanne “DeeDee” Scott, all of Florida. She was predeceased by her first husband, Gary L. Trask, her second husband, Ralph A. Berg, a son, Terry A. Trask, and two brothers, George Finnemore and Coburn Finnemore.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, April 6th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, with the Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. Burial will occur later in the spring at Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna. Those who wish may leave written condolences at
