WELLS, Maine — Police said Saturday that they are still investigating an accident that left a man dead Saturday morning in the York County town of Wells.

Scott L. Moulton, 58, of Wells apparently had been driving north on the Post Road when his silver Dodge pickup truck crossed the center line and went off the road, coming to rest upside down in a brook, according to a press release issued Saturday by the Wells Police Department.

Police arrived at the accident scene a little after 7 a.m., and by the time rescue personnel got there, Moulton had died, the police said. Because the truck came to rest in the brook, it took crews several hours to remove it, and an accident reconstructionist from the Sanford Police Department came to help with the accident investigation.
