FARMINGTON, Maine — Dustin McCrossin’s three-run double in the sixth inning broke a 3-3 tie and enabled the University of Maine-Farmington to complete a North Atlantic Conference sweep of Waterville’s Thomas College.
The Beavers (10-19, 9-9 NAC) won the first game 9-0 and took the second game 6-3.
In Game 2, Sean Cabaniss had a pair of singles and an RBI for UMF Trevor Hisler doubled and scored a pair of runs.
Kyle Peterson pitched six innings of four-hit, three-run ball with one walk and five strikeouts before Joe Sullivan hurled a perfect seventh inning to pick up a save.
Tim Locke singled twice for Thomas (7-26, 6-12 NAC). Nik Beeson and Jake Stilphen each singled and drove in a run.
In the opener, Sullivan went the distance, allowing three hits with five strikeouts and no walks.
Cabaniss had two singles and three RBIs to pace the attack and McCrossin had a double and two RBIs. Jimmy Neal chipped in with a double and an RBI.
Anree Benitez doubled for Thomas’ lone extra-base hit.

Gordon sweeps UMF
At Wenham, Mass., Gordon College piled up eight runs in the fourth inning to erase a two-run deficit and beat the University of Maine-Farmington 10-5 in the first game of two.
Gordon won the second game 3-0.
Kara Pepper hit a two-run home run in the inning, while Gabriel Roberts posted an RBI double for the hosts (12-20). Alyssa Unumb and Kendall Bukuras each added a run-scoring single.
Bukuras added a double, Pepper had a single and Stephanie Zaloom singled twice behind winning pitcher Skylar Bareford.
Amy Jones stroked a run-scoring double and Emily Soule had an RBI single for the Beavers (10-10), who got a double and two singles from Kennadi Grover and two singles from Alison Hamilton.
In the nightcap, Bareford fired a five-hit shutout to lead Gordon. Bukuras singled twice (RBI) and Pepper added an RBI double.
Jillian Withee hit a double for UMF behind loser EMily Soule, who allowed only three hits.
