WATERVILLE, Maine — A bomb threat at the CVS Pharmacy on Kennedy Memorial Drive forced police to evacuate the store on Wednesday afternoon.
Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey said officers were dispatched to the store shortly after 4 p.m.
“An employee of the store answered the phone from a subject who made a threat that there were bombs outside the store,” Rumsey said.
Police quickly responded, evacuated the establishment and blocked off the parking lot, Rumsey said.
A canvass of the store and the surrounding area revealed no suspicious objects, and employees were allowed back inside an hour after police arrived, Rumsey said.
Detective Alan Perkins is investigating the case and nobody has been charged, Rumseys aid.
