BREWER, Maine — After an investigation into a report of a robbery Tuesday afternoon in the parking lot near the Brewer Federal Credit Union on North Main Street, police have determined that no such incident took place.
“We do not believe it actually happened,” Deputy Police Chief Jason Moffitt said Tuesday night.
While Moffitt said he could not divulge details about the incident because the investigation is still underway, he did say that Brewer police were called to the credit union about 3:35 p.m. after a person reported that he or she had been robbed of cash in a nearby parking lot.
