ANSON, Maine — An Oakland woman is facing multiple charges after a reported burglary at a Campground Road residence, police said.
Ruby Grondin, 29, is facing two burglary charges in addition to a pair of criminal mischief charges, one of which is a felony, in connection to a July 9 break-in, according to Chief Deputy Dale Lancaster of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a burglary after the homeowner reported that someone had broken into the residence and caused substantial damage, Lancaster said.
A television set was destroyed, stereo equipment and couch cushions slashed, and other furniture was damaged, the chief deputy said.
On July 10, a burglary was reported at the same residence, and vulgarities had been spray-painted on interior walls and a bed, Lancaster said. He added that the investigation determined the case revolved around a relationship that ended poorly.
The estimated damage totaled $4,000.
If convicted, Grondin could spend up to 10 years in prison on the Class B burglary charges and an additional five years on the aggravated criminal mischief count.
