BANGOR, Maine — A Carmel woman is facing multiple charges stemming from an incident at Leadbetter’s on outer Hammond Street on Monday, police said.
Vicki Koehler of Carmel was taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with domestic violence criminal threatening, violation of a protection order, domestic violence reckless conduct and criminal mischief, Bangor police Sgt. Tim Cotton said.
The sequence of events began shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday when Officer Don Dow investigated a complaint in which a male family member of Koehler’s said she had followed him around town in her car, Cotton said.
As the victim pulled into Leadbetter’s to buy gas, Koehler pulled in as well and the man advised her not to trail her through town any longer, upon which Koehler made threatenings moves toward the victim with her vehicle, striking the man’s car with hers, Cotton explained.
Dow was able to obtain video surveillance footage from the convenience store to launch an investigation, and as a result, Koehler was arrested and brought to Penobscot County Jail, Cotton said.
Koehler is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 13. The man was not injured.
