ROCKLAND, Maine — The Rockland Planning Board will consider Tuesday night a proposal to convert a stately downtown house into an office building.
The company 305 State St. LLC, has applied to the city’s code enforcement officer for a change-of-use permit for the conversion of a building at 19 Talbot Ave. The planning board meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m.
The company is paying $350,000 for the house located at the intersection of Talbot and Union Street, according to paperwork filed with the code office. The colonial-style house, which was built in 1923, features 10 rooms on slightly less than a half acre of land.
The office would be occupied by the Davis Long Term Care Group, which is led by attorney Chad Cloutier, Code Enforcement Officer John Root said.
