BREWER, Maine — Electricity has been restored to more than 2,000 Emera Maine customers who were without power on Tuesday morning.

The company said in a statement that approximately 2,597 customers in Brewer, Bradley, Hampden, Holden, Clifton and Amherst were in the dark.

The outages were reported around 7 a.m., according to Emera Maine.

As of 11 a.m. Tuesday, customers in the affected areas had their power restored.

BDN sports freelancer Ryan McLaughlin grew up in Brewer and is a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins.
