LIMERICK, Maine — York County sheriff’s deputies continue to investigate a possible abduction, according to Chief Deputy William King.

The alleged abduction was reported at 2 p.m. Sunday when a Parsonsfield woman reported she was pulled into an older, mint green pickup truck as she walked along Parsonsfield Road, King said.

The truck had lights on top of the cab, similar to emergency lights that plowing vehicles use, King said.

The victim alleges that two men described as college-aged struck her in the head and forced her onto the floorboard of the truck, the chief deputy said, while pouring alcohol on her head.

King said one man was wearing a red baseball cap with black lettering, and the truck cruised up and down Route 160 for about 20-30 minutes before the victim was dropped off close to where she was allegedly abducted.

The vehicle was last seen heading toward Parsonsfield on Route 160.

While the incident remains under investigation, King said “sheriff’s deputies have found no credible evidence that the incident occurred.”
