BETHEL, Maine — A 60-year-old woman died in a three-car accident Sunday afternoon on Route 2 in Bethel.
Oxford County Sheriff Wayne Gallant said the accident happened around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, and traffic was being diverted at Sunday River Road. Details are scarce at this point as the investigation begins, but Gallant confirmed the fatality.
Two other people were taken to local hospitals with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. No names are being released as this point.
Gallant did not have information on what caused the accident.
