BANGOR, Maine — A Bangor woman was charged after her vehicle hit an 84-year-old woman walking near the Main Street Dunkin’ Donuts on Sunday, police said

Sara Vitiko, 20, was driving with a revoked license at the time of the accident, which occurred at 8:35 a.m., according to Bangor police Sgt. Tim Cotton.

Cotton did not disclose the name of the victim, whose injuries were not considered to be life threatening.

The crash occurred shortly before Main Street was closed to traffic for the Komen Race for the Cure. Cotton said the victim was walking on the sidewalk across the entrance to Dunkin’ Donuts when she was hit.

The victim was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center, and Vitiko was charged with operating after suspension.
