LINCOLN, Maine — Police summoned a Springfield man in connection with a Highland Avenue burglary last month in which $2,000 worth of equipment was stolen, a detective said Monday.
Aaron Olsen, 25, of Springfield was summoned Friday on charges of Class C burglary and Class C theft in connection with the thefts of a bush hog worth $1,500 and a generator worth $5,000, said Detective Mark Fucile.
Police found Olsen after Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office deputy Michael Knights began investigating a theft of a wood splitter in Lee which led him to an Enfield home. He learned that the stolen generator and bush hog were at the home and this led police to Olsen, who Fucile said admitted to the crime.
The owner of the bush hog and generator collected them from the Enfield home himself, Fucile said. The wood splitter was not recovered.
More arrests are possible in connection with Knights’ case and with other crimes, Fucile said.
Olsen is due to appear in court at the Bangor Judicial Center on Nov. 13.
