EASTON, Maine — A collision between an sport utility vehicle and a motorcycle on the Easton Center Road on Sunday afternoon sent two people to hospitals, according to Maine State Police.
Zachary Lamoreau, 18, was attempting a left-hand turn onto a private driveway when he collided with a motorcycle driven by Stuart Craig, 56, according to state police.
Lamoreau slowed to a stop, did not see Craig and went to make the turn, according to state police. The Harley-Davidson Craig was driving crashed into the front passenger side of Lamoreau’s vehicle.
Craig and his passenger, Cathy Stuart, 56, who both were wearing helmets, were thrown from the motorcycle. Lamoreau was wearing his seat belt and was not injured.
Craig Stuart was treated at The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle and was released. Cathy Stuart was brought to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
The accident remains under investigation. Crown Ambulance and the Easton Fire Department assisted state police.
