LIVERMORE, Maine — Two people are dead and another injured after a head-on collision on Route 4 in Livermore on Saturday afternoon.
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department have not released the victims’ names, but our media partners at the Sun Journal confirmed the two fatalities late Saturday afternoon. The third person was taken to a hospital by LifeFlight with injuries that were not life-threatening injuries.
Shortly after noon Saturday, a minivan and SUV collided head on. Route 4 in the area of the accident remained closed for most of the afternoon. The investigation into the accident continues, but police indicated to the Sun Journal one of the vehicles crossed into the other lane.
