PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police Officer Christian Stickney and his K-9 partner, Blaze, took first prize in a police patrol dog course competition.
According to the city of Portland, the course is designed to test the skills required for a K-9 officer. Officer Stickney and Blaze competed against 22 teams from all over the northeast.
Officer Stickney and Blaze have been training and working together for the past six months.
The event was sponsored by the Poughkeepsie Police Department in New York and K9Robbyfarm.
