ELLSWORTH, Maine — More than 1,400 Emera Maine customers were without power Tuesday afternoon, the company said in a statement.
The outages are affecting the communities of Ellsworth, Aurora, Amherst, Clifton, Great Pond, Mariaville and Otis, and about 1,470 customers were in the dark as of 1 p.m. Tuesday.
The cause of the outages remains under investigation, and service was expected to be restored by 3 p.m.
