BANGOR, Maine — The Husson University Eagles scored twice in the first half to beat the Thomas College Terriers 2-0 in women’s soccer action Tuesday.

Taylor Fortin gave the Eagles the lead when she hit a free kick from 25 yards out into the upper left corner to beat goalkeeper Paige Leary in the 11th minute. Leah Hibbad gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead when she took a feed from Kirsten Wood and buried it in the right corner in the 20th minute.

Jess Poulin didn’t have to make a save for Husson (7-4, 4-1 NAC) and Leary finished with 17 for Thomas (5-8, 2-3).

UMF 3, MMA 0

At Castine, Alexandra Crocker scored a pair of goals as UMaine-Farmington (4-6, 3-1 NAC) topped Maine Maritime Academy (3-8, 1-4).

Crocker netted the first goal of the game nearly nine minutes in the opening half. UMF took advantage of a corner kick opportunity as Avalon Amador assisted the goal.

Katie Clark’s corner kick set up Crocker’s second goal with 1:02 left in the half.

Bridget Humphrey added a second-half goal for UMF.

Sam Hatch made one save for UMF and Kelsie Hilton had eight for MMA.

Field Hockey

Maine 5, Dartmouth 2

At Orono, Danielle Aviani scored two goals to propel the Black Bears by Dartmouth.

Aviani tallied a goal in each half for the Black Bears (6-6), who also received goals from Zoe Berkey, Nicole Sevey and Annabelle Hamilton (assist). Holly Stewart registered three assists and Becca Paradee had one. Emma Cochran made four saves on six shots.

Janine Leger scored both goals for 3-6 Dartmouth, with Ali Savage contributing an assist on each. Ellen Meyer made three saves on eight shots.

Men’s Soccer

MMA 4, UMF 3

At Castine, Tom Samson and Jonathan Reeks each scored goals late in the second half to snap a 2-2 tie and give Maine Maritime Academy the victory over UMaine-Farmington.

Gabriel Warren scored two first-half goals to put MMA up 2-0, but UMF responded with goals from Jordan Luks and Uriah Forest-Bulley to tie it.

Luks scored off a header late in the second half to slice MMA’s lead to 4-3.

MMA’s Marshall Spear finished with one save and Matt Wilson had five for UMF.
