BANGOR — Free baseball clinic, Playing Catch with the Community, for ages 13 and under noon-3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at Mansfield Stadium, put on by University of Maine, Husson University and Sluggers. Players will learn baseball techniques from the best instructors in Maine. There will be a wiffle ball game at the end of the day. ORONO — Registration is under way for the University of Maine Junior Winter Clinic, which will be held 4:30-6:30 p.m. 12 consecutive Saturdays; and Senior Winter Clinic, which will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. 12 consecutive Saturdays. Cost is $250 for 12 weeks of instruction with UMaine players and coaches.The goal of this clinic is to give each player a high level of individual instruction within a group setting. The Youth Aged Winter Tournament registration has opened up to fill six-eight available spots.The schedule has been modified to have a nine-week, 10-game schedule played on Sundays.
