PORTLAND, Maine — The Ebola outbreak has killed more than 4,000 people over the last seven months. In Portland, about 50 people came together to try and make a difference for those battling the virus.
An 8-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl came up with the idea to hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday, raising money to increase access to food for those affected in Sierra Leone.
The breakfast was also an educational event to inform people about Ebola and about some of the misconceptions about the virus.
