At Orono on Saturday, four players scored a goal as the Black Bears shut out the Bulldogs to extend their winning streak to four games.
Annabelle Hamilton, Jessica Skillings, Danielle Aviani and Katie Bingle scored for the University of Maine (8-6). Emily Corbett made three saves to earn the shutout.
Heather Schlesier made eight saves for 2-9 Yale.

At Farmington on Saturday, Amber Anderson scored her first two goals of the season to propel the Eagles to a North Atlantic Conference victory over the Beavers.
Elizabeth Terry and Melissa Souza contributed a goal each, with Olivia Plaisted, Mikayla Toth and Taylor Lovely each notching assists for Husson University of Bangor (5-6, 3-0 NAC). Kaitlin Dolloff made one save.
Patricia Smith logged 10 stops for the University of Maine-Farmington (6-4, 2-1 NAC).

Mississippi State ranked No. 1
Mississippi State took over the No. 1 spot in both the Associated Press and USA Today top 25 polls on Sunday.
The Bulldogs replaced Florida State to complete the fastest rise to the top spot in the 78-year history of the AP poll.
Mississippi State moved up from a tie for third in the AP poll and from No. 6 in the USA Today coaches poll after beating previous No. 2 Auburn 38-23 on Saturday. It only took the Bulldogs five weeks to climb all the way to No. 1.
The Bulldogs are just one point ahead of Florida State in the coaches poll.
In both polls, Florida State is second, followed by No. 3 Mississippi, No. 4 Baylor and No. 5 Notre Dame.
Clemson starting quarterback Deshaun Watson will have surgery on Monday to repair his injured hand and is likely to be sidelined for five weeks, the Greenville (S.C.) News reported.
Cole Stoudt will become the Tigers’ starting quarterback in Watson’s absence.
Florida wide receiver Latroy Pittman was released from the hospital after being carted off the field during Saturday night’s game against LSU. He was taken from the field on a stretcher after taking a hit during the game.
