HARRISON, Maine — A Harrison man is free on bail after his arrest on possessing child pornography, according to state police.

Wayne Pike, 37, is accused of possessing sexually explicit material of someone under age 12, state police spokesman Stephen McCausland said.

Pike had been under investigation since last summer after the State Police Computer Crimes Unit received information that resulted in a search of Pike’s house and a subsequent seizure of his computer, McCausland said.

Thousands of files and images of infants and toddlers being sexually abused were found on the computer. None of the victim are believed to be from Maine.

Pike, who lives with his wife and two young children, has bail conditions not to have any contact with children under the age of 18. Because of his bail restrictions, he has been forced to find other living arrangements.
